Terms & Conditions
The terms governing your use of the Genius Teams website, Interactive Lab courses, live virtual classes, and consulting services.
1Definitions
“We”, “Genius Teams”, or “us” refers to Genius Teams Interactive Limited, registered in England and Wales. “You” means any individual or legal entity entering into an agreement with us. An “Agreement” is formed when you register for, purchase, or access any of our courses or services. “Course” encompasses Interactive Lab courses, live virtual classes, workshops, or events offered through geniusteams.org or affiliated platforms. “Interactive Lab” refers to our self-paced, browser-based training courses with simulations, exercises, and AI-assisted learning. “Live Virtual Class” refers to instructor-led training delivered via video conferencing. “Force majeure” means events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or infrastructure failures.
2Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing a course, creating an account, or using our website, you accept these Terms and Conditions in full. These terms apply to all agreements initiated through our website, checkout process, or affiliated booking platforms. They supersede any customer purchase conditions unless we provide explicit written confirmation otherwise.
3Interactive Lab Courses
Interactive Lab courses are delivered digitally through our browser-based training platform. Upon successful payment (or administrative approval for invoice orders), participants receive a unique activation link granting personal access to the course.
Access is granted to the named participant only and may not be shared, transferred, or resold. Each activation link is unique and single-use. Participants may access the course content at their own pace for the duration of their access period.
Certificates of completion are issued upon successfully meeting the course assessment requirements.
4Live Virtual Classes
Live virtual classes are instructor-led courses delivered via Zoom (or equivalent video conferencing). Participants will receive joining details, including the meeting link and any pre-reading requirements, by email prior to the course.
Full attendance is required for course accreditation. If a participant misses more than one hour of a course, the trainer may determine that accreditation cannot be awarded. In such cases, we will offer a place on a future course date at no additional cost, but no refund will be issued.
Scrum.org certification assessments included with live classes are subject to Scrum.org's own terms and conditions. Assessment passwords are issued after course completion and are typically valid for 14 days, with a second attempt granted at no cost if the first is unsuccessful within that period.
5Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed excluding VAT unless otherwise stated. UK VAT at the prevailing rate (currently 20%) will be added at checkout for UK customers and non-UK individuals. Business customers outside the UK with a valid VAT number are invoiced under the reverse charge mechanism.
Payment may be made by credit/debit card (processed securely via Stripe) or by invoice. Card payments grant immediate access. Invoice payments are due within 14 days of issue. For interactive lab courses, access is granted upon receipt of payment unless otherwise agreed.
A group discount of 10% is automatically applied when booking three or more participants. For groups of six or more, a private course booking may be more cost-effective — please contact us for a quote.
6Cancellation and Refunds
Interactive Lab courses: Refund requests may be made within 14 days of purchase, provided the course has not been substantially accessed (defined as completing more than 25% of the course content). Once substantially accessed, no refund is available.
Live virtual classes: Cancellations made five or more working days before the course start date will receive a full refund minus any costs already incurred by us. Cancellations with less than five working days' notice will receive a 50% refund. Alternatively, participants may transfer to a future course date at no additional cost, subject to availability.
All cancellation requests must be made in writing to hello@geniusteams.org and require our written confirmation.
If we cancel a course, all participants will receive a full refund. We are not liable for any consequential costs such as travel or accommodation. Live virtual classes require a minimum of three participants; if this threshold is not met, we may cancel or reschedule the course with at least 48 hours' notice.
7Rescheduling and Transfers
Participants on live virtual classes may request to transfer to a different course date with at least five working days' notice. One free transfer is permitted per booking. Subsequent transfer requests may incur an administrative fee.
Transfers between different course types (e.g. from PSPO to PSM-AI) are not permitted. Price differences between course dates will be charged or refunded as applicable.
8Intellectual Property
All course content, simulations, software, materials, and training resources are the intellectual property of Genius Teams Interactive Limited or our licensors (including Scrum.org where applicable) and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any course content without our explicit written permission. This includes but is not limited to: recording live sessions, screenshotting or copying interactive lab content, sharing access credentials, or redistributing course materials.
Scrum.org course materials remain the intellectual property of Scrum.org and are used under licence.
9Accounts and Security
When you create an account or receive an activation link, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Activation links are personal and non-transferable.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are shared, used fraudulently, or in violation of these terms.
10Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Genius Teams Interactive Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to loss of profit, data, or business opportunity.
Our total liability in respect of any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific course or service giving rise to the claim.
Participants are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate equipment and internet connectivity for live virtual classes. We are not liable for technical issues outside our control.
11Privacy and Data
We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described therein.
12Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, power failures, or internet outages.
13Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms were last updated on 21 March 2026. If you have questions, please contact us.
